Saree
Saree comprises of three piece, first is petticoat, second is blouse and the third one is the long drape almost five to nine yards in length and two to four feet wide. The type of cloth mostly used for saree is jamawaar, chiffon, georgette, tissue, net, silk and organza. Sarees are available in different styles from printed to heavily embroidered drapes. It is available in wide range of colors that are attractive and eye catching. Different styles of blouse are worn by ladies with long and short sleeves or is strapless. The back of the blouse is beautifully designed and embroidered as it is most prominent from back side.
Embroidery on the saree is mostly done on the fall and along the borders of drape. The patch of drape freely falling down over the shoulders is heavily embroidered with beads, stones, strings and sequins. Some blouses have tussles at the back for more elegant look. Embroidered saree is worn on the occasions like wedding and printed sarees can be worn on casual parties.
