Poll: 58% of Americans disapprove of President Trump's conduct

A majority of Americans don't like the way Donald Trump has conducted himself since resuming the presidency, according to a new poll out Tuesday.

The Pew Research Center found that 58% of Americans aren't fans of Trump's conduct, while another 25% have mixed feelings about it. Only 16% said they liked how the president conducted himself.

Split that up by political affiliation, and the results show that Democrats and those who lean Democratic are much more likely to disapprove of Trump's conduct (89%), while Republicans and people who lean Republican are more likely to have mixed feelings about it (46%).

When it comes to Trump's stances on issues, though, Republicans say they stand with the president: 31% said they agree with Trump about all or nearly all of the issues facing the country today, while another 38% said they agreed about many of the issues.

Comparatively, Democrats were overwhelmingly on the opposite side of this part of the poll, with 77% saying they did not agree at all with Trump about issues facing the United States. Another 17% said they only agreed on a few issues.

The poll surveyed 1,893 Americans from Aug. 15 to Aug. 21.
