LANCASTER, Texas The search for Shavon Randle, the 13-year-old Lancaster girl who was the subject of an Amber Alert for the past couple of days, came to a heartbreaking end with the discovery of her body.
The bodies of Shavon and an adult male were both discovered inside a home in the 2200 block of Kiest Avenue in Oak Cliff late Saturday night, the FBI said.
"We have positively identified the young female is Shavon Randle. We have notified the family of this information and we’re in the process of continuing our investigation,” FBI agent Eric Jackson said.
The FBI received a tip that led investigators to the home at around 10:30 p.m. Saturday. There was no other information immediately available as to why investigators were targeting the house.
After Friday's FBI plea for information related to Shavon's disappearance, 24-year-old Devontae Owens was arrested by the Lancaster Police Department and the FBI earlier Saturday. Owens is now being held on aggravated kidnapping charges in the Dallas County Jail.
Laquon Wilkerson, 30, was also arrested by the FBI and Lancaster police in connection with the case.
Two others, LaPorschya Polley, 25, and Darius Fields, 26, were being questioned and remained in custody, police said.
Authorities are still searching for Michael Titus, 19, who was also considered a person of interest, the FBI said.
“They are individuals that we believe may have information related to the kidnapping of Shavon,” Jackson said.
