Few Amazing Home Remedies To Get Rid Of Dandruff

As fall approaches, your hair starts falling with the leaves too. Some people consider it an inevitable consequence of changing weather without knowing the real cause behind the problem. Loss of hair in fall and winter occurs due to dry scalp or dandruff.

Here are some home remedies to cure this deadliest dandruff:
Tea Tree Oil
To many, tea tree oil is like a magic potion in a bottle. It works wonders for various skin and hair conditions including acne and warts; and ever so dreaded dandruff. You can massage your scalp with a few drops of this oil and rinse off. Or better yet, add a few drops of tree tea oil in your regular shampoo (not anti-dandruff shampoo) and wash normally. According to a study published in journal of American academy of dermatology, 5% tea tree oil in shampoo significantly helps with dandruff caused by yeast.
Aloe Vera
Aloe Vera has soothing effects for skin on all parts of the body. Aloe Vera gel applied directly to the scalp helps soothe the itchiness cause by dandruff. 20-30 ml of aloe Vera gel should be applied and massaged onto the scalp before shampooing. It cleanses your hair, helps wash off flakes and its cooling effect helps with the itch. The amount of aloe Vera gel used can vary according to the length of the hair and severity of the problem.
Sun Flower Oil Plus Yogurt
This one may sound a tad bit gross, but the results are surely worth a shot. Add yogurt and sun flower oil in a cup following ratio 3 parts unbeaten yogurt and 2 parts sun flower oil. Apply this mixture onto your hair and scalp. Massage gently running your fingers through your scalp till the tip of your hair. Cover your head up with a non absorbent material such as a shower cap or a polythene bag (make sure you do not cover your face as this can be a choking hazard). Wash after 15-30 minutes with water (tip: do not use warm water to wash your hair). Once the entire yogurt is washed off, shampoo your hair normally. You do not need conditioning after this remedy. Sunflower oil can be replaced with olive oil, almond oil, flax seed oil or all of them can be combined.
Olive Oil
Olive oil is the oldest known remedy for dandruff. It is not only great at removing
dandruff flakes from your hair, it suppresses dandruff production and proves to be great for your over all hair health. Massage and leave overnight 10-20 drops of olive oil onto your scalp. Cover your head with a shower cap before you sleep so that your scalp gets more time absorbing the goodness of olive oil and your pillow does not get soiled. Have the morning shower as usual. For even better results use a shampoo infused with olive oil.
